FAQ

What is sex therapy?

Sex therapy is a form of psychotherapy aimed at treating the most common sexual disorders of psychological origin in men (loss of desire, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, performance anxiety) and women (anorgasmia, vaginism, low libido and arousal difficulties). In particular, this therapy is divided in three actions: cognitive - to make the patient (or couple) aware of the underlying mechanisms of their disorder; relational - to resolve any conflicts and misunderstandings within the couple; behavioural - comprising prescriptions aimed at encouraging the formation of a new perception of one’s self and of the relationship with one’s partner, in both a sexual and a relational context.
