What is the "normal" frequency of sex?

This is not an easy question to answer: there are several factors that influence the frequency of sexual intercourse in couples. As we might expect, sexual intercourse is more frequent in the initial phase of a relationship, and decreases over time due to loss of interest, the arrival of children or an increase in time spent on work. A 2010 study revealed that only 2% of single men and 4% of single women, between the ages of 18 and 24 have sexual intercourse 4 or more times a week, compared to 21% of married men and 24%, of married women.
